It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that our friend and former member, Andy Bass, passed away suddenly around last Friday.  Andy was a dear friend and past captain of several EGHC sides, including the Veterans and appears to have passed away in his sleep.

Andy will be greatly missed as a friend and fellow hockey player and will be remembered by those priveleeged to have known him as a true gentleman with a great sense of humour and as somebody that always had a story to tell.

Once the arrangements have been made for the funeral / celebration of his life, we will inform you of the time and place.

Our thoughts go to his family who are greatly sadenned by his passing and we all will miss him terribly.

On behalf of family and friends.

Andy was a great guy who was a major part of the Club for a long time - a free scoring centre forward for all teams including the vets. I saw him at a Golf Dinner a few months ago and he was in terrific form. I will always remember his fortitude when his lovely wife was taken from us at such a young age. A real ' club man ' RIP

Hi my name is Maxine and I am Andy and Debbie's niece from Australia. I was so saddened to see that Andy had passed away at the beginning of this year. My mum Teresa (Debbie's older sister) went to The church in West Hoathley today to visit the grave of Debbie and my Nan Doris Bull.
I have been trying to search for my cousins (Andy and Debbie's boys) Tom and Karl for some time with no luck. I would appreciate anyone who may know
Still see them to please pass on my email address as I would so love to get in touch with them as so many years have passed and would love to again meet up with my cousins.
    My email address is -

I hope Andy is now resting with Debbie peacefully.. I always had very fond memories as a younger child of all our family when we spent time together..
Thank you in advance if anyone is able to help me track my cousins down..
Lots of love Uncle Andy.. I will never forget the scent of your JAZZ you always wore when I was a youngster.. And all the laughs we shared.. Especially after Debs passed away with Tom and Karl and Taxi the black lab xx
    Untill we meet again xx
