EGHC Mens 1st Team Welcome the Returning Samad Suleman for 2018/2019 Season

Samad Suleman is to return to EGHC after graduating this summer from Durham University.  EGHC are looking forward to welcoming Samad back to the squad...

Samad finished the 2017 / 2018 season another member of the British Universities and Colleges Sports Championship winning squad at Durham, alongside Rhys Smith and Rory Patterson.  Samad has tasted top level hockey for a number of years including representing Saxon Tigers in the Futures Cup and Whitgift School in the 2013 U18 National Finals in which he scored a goal in the 3:1 Final victory against Cranleigh.  During the 2016 / 2017 season, Samad was part of the Durham University Squad which won the Northern Conference and competed in the promotion playoffs, narrowly missing out.

Glenn Kirkham commented "Samad's return is another boost for our squad and we'll benefit from the experiences he has gained playing at Durham in some big matches.  He'll strengthen our group and add another goal scoring threat.  With his connections through his previous spell at EG as well as Whitgift and Durham, he'll fit in straight away !"
