Notice of 2018 AGM for East Grinstead Hockey Club

The EGHC AGM for 2018 will take place on Thursday July 26th at 7.30pm in the Lingfield Room at East Grinstead Sports Club. 
Richard Leman, one of EGHC's longest serving players and volunteers has been awarded Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's 2018 Birthday Honours List.  Richard received the honour for "Services to Hockey".

EGHC are delighted to welcome Ben Mackey to the 1st Team group ahead of the 2018 / 2019 Season.  Ben joins EG having represented Cheltenham outdoor and Bath Buccaneers indoor last season.  Read on...

It was to be 3rdtime lucky for the Men's Vets...  Having been league runners up for the previous two seasons, the group finally secured the club's first ever Vets London League Division 1 Title on Saturday April 21st 2018 !
Three East Grinstead Girls have returned from a weekend representing England U18s !
EGHC Ladies are in their final week of preparations for the League Championship Playoff Finals to be played at Lee Valley on Saturday & Sunday April 28th and 29th. 
Rory Patterson has signed for EGHC ahead of the 2018/2019 season, following a familiar path of Whitgift, Durham University followed by EG ! 
Rhys Smith has signed for East Grinstead Men, returning to the club he represented in the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 seasons.  Rhys expects to graduate from Durham University in Summer 2018 where he studied after progressing from Whitgift School.
EG Ladies yesterday secured a 3:1 win against Buckingham as they continue the race for the playoffs.  Read more ! 
EG Ladies will host Birmingham University Ladies on Saturday 24th at 13:30.  Birmingham, featuring several former EG stars, will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the Premier League, but EG will be looking to consolidate a place in the playoff positions !
EG Men's 1st team suffered a disappointing defeat to Beeston at home on Sunday 18th Feb.  Losing 2:5 with EG's goals coming from Simon Faulkner and Ashley Jackson, the squad will be looking for a much improved performance this coming weekend with an away match at Wimbledon.  Read on for more about last weekend's national league matches...
