Away from the Office

Felix has lived in the East Grinstead area for the last 52 years. He was educated in Horsham and Forest Row and has been married to Felicity for 40 years. Together they have three children. Coming from a Rugby Union family, father and brother played for Harlequins. Felix moved schools to Michael Hall in Forest Row where Field Hockey was the sport. Felix and his two brothers soon converted to hockey and quickly joined EGHC as a family in 1971. Simon Cole (known to EG members as "Big Man") became a legendary centre back, winning the National Club Championship with the Mens 1st Team in 1983. Justin Cole too became a star player for the 1st team and represented South U21. Felix ix more of a journeyman player, from touring to Flottbek in Hamburg in 1973 aged 14 and going all the way up the teams and all the way down, finally retiring from playing aged 58 with the Almighty East Grinstead Saints. A life long member of East Grinstead Hockey Club, Felix still enjoys supporting the club through watching games and sponsorship. He now plays golf and would love to improve his handicap
