During the season there's a lot going on at EGHC. In fact, with several of our Mens and Ladies 1st Teams competing in internationals outside the regular season and with a number of events and EGHC Academy Camps going on, there's a lot going on at EGHC outside the season as well.
Its been awhile coming but we are delighted that we finally have a new web site with which to share news, match reports, galleries and so on. We have made the decision to launch the web site even though there are some pieces we are still working on, so you will notice some small "teething issues" over the coming weeks. We'll be asking for feedback soon !
BT Sport ESPN - Sky Channel 426 - will be showing GB Men's victory in the Sultan Azlan Trophy this evening. In fact it started showing just a few moments ago at 18:45, so tune in fast !!!
Great Britain's men lifted the Azlan Shah Cup after beating Australia in a seven-goal thriller in Malaysia.
No side from the British Isles had won the title since England in 1994, and GB saw off the nine-time champions in an incredible final.
Goals from Alan Forsyth and David Goodfield put GB into an early lead before Eddie Ockenden pegged one back, but Ollie Willars was on hand to extend the lead once again.
Joshua Pollard and Dylan Wotherspoon netted either side of Goodfield's second goal of the game to make for a tense finale but GB held firm to ensure a memorable victory.
EGHC Ladies 2nd XI will play in the FINAL of the Sussex 1st XI Cup TOMORROW (May 6th) at 3pm. The match will take place at Lewes Hockey Club against Horsham. Its certain to be a big game and we wish the side lots of luck as they prepare for their final match of what has already been a fantastic season.
Make sure to check back for a match report soon !

The boys played brilliantly today and they should be proud of themselves. A real sense of team spirit emerged, and both teams showed good tactical awareness, great passing and creation of chances as well as scoring a respectable number of goals !
The Mystic team won the tournament, winning all seven games and concerning only one goal over the whole tournament to our very own Instinct Team !
The Instinct Team also played fabulously, finishing a worthy 3rd. They only lost two matches; one to Mystic and one to the team that came second to Eastbourne 1s.
