Match Report;
First game for the Ladies 3's today and of course it's raining. Welcome back to the hockey season!
Having had a great couple of training session the 3's started as if they meant business. From the first whistle the girls were off, showing great composure and pressing the ball pushing Chichester deep into their own half. With great skills from the midfield and forwards we were rewarded early with a short corner - straight strike from the top rebounded straight back to the top and the follow up narrowly missed the post by millimetres.
As the game progressed, we had all the play with great speed and skill from midfielders Katie, Scarlett, Sophie and Derval; this allowed the forwards the space with great shots coming from Kirstie, Ciara, Ruth and Holly, but let's say we need work on our target practice…
The defence, Emma, Cydney and Asta (in fact played midfield and forward as well) and Lizzie soaked up any pressure that came through early and with goalie Kate only touching the ball in the first half by collecting it once it had gone off the back line.
The second half was much the same with continued pressure from the whole team. We were finally rewarded with a goal in the last 5 mins of the game through a straight strike by Lottie from a short corner making it 1-0.
Great team performance but still have things to work on.

Match Report;
The first game of the season in a rain-swept Eastbourne resulted in a 3-2 defeat, which was a little harsh as the boys gave their all in a competitive, good spirited match.
Most of the players were a little rusty having not played much for several months but improved in the second half. Jack and Harry Huntington scored our goals and Guy Huntington missed an open goal!
