Super Saturday...
Club Day - Super Saturday
As the season draws to a thrilling close, all eyes turn to the final fixtures — and what a finale it promises to be. After months of grit, determination, and unforgettable moments, four of our teams go into the final day with promotion/ league championships on the line.
This has been nothing short of a remarkable season for EGHC. The standard set this season has been unprecedented and is a true reflection of the commitment running throughout the club. We have already seen our M2s, W2s, W3s, W4s and M4s secure promotion, and we still have plenty more outcomes to settle heading into the final day.
Now, everything comes down to these final games.
Men's 3s
In the final home game hosted at Saint Hill this season, our M3s have a "winner takes all" clash against Crowborough 1s. The boys currently sit two points ahead of their opponents, and will need your support under the floodlights, with pushback at 5pm.
Men's 4s
The team have already secured promotion, but are hoping to wrap up the league with a victory against Brighton 7s this Saturday. They currently sit 2 points ahead of Crowborough 2s, and will be up against the team currently sitting in third place in the table. Pushback is at 10.15am down in Brighton.
Women's 5s
The girls have made a late charge towards promotion, with everything to play for on the final day after picking up a vital win against top of the table last week. With just one point separating the top three (Crawley 2s 37pts, Hailsham 3s 36pts, EG 5s 36pts), it could well come down to Goal Difference! The girls take on Burgess Hill Flames at Lingfield College at 12.30pm.
Men's 5s
The M5s take on Brighton 9s, knowing only a win will give them a chance of promotion. Only two points separate 2nd from 4th (Brighton 9s 55pts, South Saxons 4s 53pts, EG 5s 53pts), and they will kick off the day at Saint Hill with a 10am pushback.
Please support our teams where you can, we are expecting a bumper crowd at Saint Hill for all the games. There will also be some Premier League action, as our W1s take on Hampstead and Westminster at 2pm! The club plans to come together in the evening for a club day social in the clubhouse - it's not a day you want to miss!
