EG's Laura Unsworth named Great Britain Captain

East Grinstead Ladies 1st Team star, Laura Unsworth has been named GB Captain for upcoming Pro League Matches.  Click though for more... 

 Laura made her international debut in 2008 and was part of the Great Britain team, alongside EG Captain Sophie Bray, that won Olympic Gold in Rio.  Laura also won Olympic Bronze at London 2012 and representing England has won 2 bronze, a silver and most recently a Gold in the European Nations competitions.  "Unsy" has played top class domestic hockey for Holcombe, Loughborough and Sutton Coldfield.

Having represented England 145 times, Great Britain 118 times leading to a combined 263 International appearances, and with 11 goals to her credit, Laura is one of the most experienced players in the GB setup.  We at EG are verso proud of her achievements and delighted she is part of our squad, bringing leadership and quality in abundance.

Laura will captain Great Britain in the coming week in away matches vs Netherlands and Belgium in the Pro League.
