Rory Patterson signs for EGHC Men ahead of 2018/2019 Season

Rory Patterson has signed for EGHC ahead of the 2018/2019 season, following a familiar path of Whitgift, Durham University followed by EG !

Rory played his early hockey at Old Loughtonians, experiencing success early on in winning the U16 National Title in 2012.  Rory himself was the second top scorer in that competition.  Another former Whitgift pupil, Rory benefited from Karl Stagno's guidance and during his time at Durham has Captained the Men's 1st Team.

Rory has represented Saxon Tigers U18 in the Futures Cup in 2014 and, alongside Rhys Smith, won this season's British Universities and Colleges Sports Hockey Title.

Glenn Kirkham, EG's Head Coach commented "Rory is another quality addition to our squad and as one of the top scorers in the North Conference last season will strengthen our group as well as adding to our penalty corner threat"

Rory added "I can't wait to get started; Rhys speaks fondly of his time at EG and the opportunity to play for Glenn and in a developing squad is something I'm very much looking forward to."
