Are the Women on track to win their third Indoor title on the bounce?

Congratulations to our Women's 1's who have qualified for the England Hockey Super 6s Indoor Finals, taking place on Sunday 1st Feb at the Derby Arena.

Without Chloe Brown and Julia Balcerzak, who were on indoor international duty, the team headed to Repton for their qualifying weekends, winning 6 and drawing 2 of their 8 matches - finishing 2nd behind Sutton Coldfield and ensuring a Top 4 place to qualify for the finals.

Biba Mills, finished the tournament as the top goal scorer, having scored a huge 25 goals across the two weekends - x9 Field goals, x12 Penalty Corners and x4 Penalty Strokes. A great achievement, huge congratulations to her and the team.

It was a tale of two halves for our Men, after a frustrating first weekend at Whitgift they needed to bounce back and they certainly did! A 9-6 win against Southgate followed by a 3-0 win against Sevenoaks ensured a great start to the weekend. On Sunday they finished with a 3-3 draw against Surbiton to end the weekend, finishing in a commendable 6th place.

The Women will now head to Derby, trying to win their third consecutive Indoor title on the bounce. They will face old foes Surbiton in the semi finals, timings tbc.
