EG Ladies completed the first weekend of the Indoor Super 6s in Telford, leading the table with four wins from four, and just ahead of indoor rivals Bowdon Hightown.  The Ladies 1st team followed the example of the U18 Girls' and came away with a positive goal difference of 18.  EG's top scorer (pictured) was Bara Kavanova with 6 goals following an outstanding personal weekend.  Pippa Chapman and Ruth Gordon contributed 3 goals each and the rest were shared amongst the squad.

The new look side was captained by Zoe Burrell and while many of the squad have experience from previous EG campaigns, we have welcomed new Indoor members who made their debuts over the weekend.  Two familiar names stand out, in Golden Girls Kate Richardson-Walsh and Helen Richardson-Wals while Abi Harper has joined EG following in her brother Adam's footsteps who played a major role in EG' Men's Indoor titles over the years.

Beginning with a 9:1 win against Holcombe, the Ladies followed up with a 3:2 victory against last year's champions, Slough, a 5:2 win against last year's runners-up, Canterbury and a 6:0 win against Reading.  In the New Year the squad will face Leicester, Bowdon Hightown, Clifton and Sutton Coalfield.

With the finals this year to be played at the Copper Box on Sunday January 25th, there is much to play for.
